Claudia Ryan

Claudia Ryan, born in Como (Italy), has collaborated with many publications in the world of design and architecture. In 2001 she published the book ‘L'atto del vedere’ (The act of seeing) with Zanichelli and in 2010 ‘Giro di boa’ with Edizioni Si, released in January 2015 in an ebook edition.

July 2012 saw the publication of his historical novel ‘Virginia’ -Leone Editore-, which won an Award for Best Biography at the Villa Selmi Literary Competition, a Special Critics' Jury Award at the National Competition A Friendly Book for Winter, a Special Golden Selection Award at the Cittā di Cattolica International Competition, came fifth at the Thesaurus International Literary Arts Award and came third at the Cittā di Grosseto Amore sui Generis Literary Award. The second edition is currently published by Amazon.

In 2014, the historical novel Fire in the Darkness was published, which won the Critics' Prize at the 2014 Montefiore International Literary Prize and received an Honourable Mention at the World Literary Prize Competition.

May 2016 saw the publication of the novel ‘Hana la Yazida - L'inferno č sulla Terra’ (Hana the Yazidi - Hell is on Earth) -Edizioni San Paolo-, which attracted great interest due to the dramatically topical issue it deals with.

With Nardini editore she published in 2021 ‘La ricamatrice di Bayeux’, a story inspired by the beautiful embroidery called the Bayeux Tapestry, and in 2022 with KDP ‘Intrigo ad Al-Khobar’ (Intrigue at Al-Khobar).

In 2024, ‘La scelta' (The Choice) -Le Piccole Pagine Editore- was published, a book based on a true story that led the author to do extensive research before writing it.

She loves writing, art, dancing, cycling, walking in the mountains and along the sea, and restoring ceramics with the art of kintsugi.
