Neil McKain

Neil is a Head of RS with over ten years teaching experience. He graduated in Theology and RS from the University of Leeds and has an MA in Philosophy and Religion from Heythrop College, University of London. His Farmington Fellowship project in 2012 centred on the use of formal debating in RE.

His work nationally in RE has been extensive. He is part of an advisory group to the Rt Hon Charles Clarke and Professor Linda Woodhead in their work on a new legal settlement for RE. Neil currently serves on the two executive bodies representing RE teachers in the UK, the National Association for Teachers of RE (NATRE) and the Independent Schools RS Association council. Alongside his work with RE professional bodies, Neil is an educational adviser to the British Humanist Association and Truetube.
