Thea Engst's two great loves are writing and hospitality. Her books are the marriage of her love for restaurants and her love for writing. She has worked in hospitality for more than a decade, with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Hobart and William Smith College and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Emerson College. Her first book, "Drink Like a Bartender," was rated one of the Best Booze Books of 2017 by Forbes. Her first solo book, "Spirits of the Tarot," won Excellence in Wine, Beer, and Spirits Writing at the 2023 Readable Feast Awards. Her most recent book is "Sex and the City Cocktails" — the only official "Sex and the City" cocktail book. Look for her forthcoming publication, "The Hazbin Hotel Bar Book," due to publish in 2026.
Today, she is a senior copywriter and beverage consultant and is working on her first novel.
