Sofia Cardoso

Sofia is a Portuguese illustrator and designer of colorful and playful artwork that aims to spark joy! She uses a mix of traditional techniques and digital tools in her work and whether it’s a picture book, a greeting card line, children’s apparel, puzzles or brand storytelling, Sofia is passionate about crafting heartfelt visuals full of personality and bringing stories to life with empathy and visual charm.

Her passion for illustration goes all the way back to her childhood years when her enthusiastic urge to create and doodle was nurtured by family and educators, mostly through drawing, painting and collage. That joyful urge to create is still the heart of Sofia's work today, blending the magic of childhood with the details of everyday life.

Sofia enjoys at home yoga, thrifting and loves all things Christmas! She’s also a big foodie so in her spare time, chances are that you could also find her in the kitchen doing a fair amount of cooking or baking.
