Sheila Kinsman

Sheila Kinsman was born in Maracaibo Venezuela, to a British father and a Dutch mother. She lived in Colombia, Venezuela and England before coming to the US at the age of 11. After graduating from university she married Dick Kinsman, a U.S Foreign Service officer, and returned to live in Latin American countries for 15+years. Back in the US with Dick and their three children, Sheila took up painting and poetry after retiring from a career in physical therapy.

Her lifelong admiration for birds came with living in a variety of environments, rich in bird life, from the sunny tropics to Patagonia to the continental US.
