I am Associate Professor of History and Southern Studies at the University of Mississippi. Currently, I'm working on a new book about religion, New Deal memory, and the South's long Great Depression.

In the Department of History and at the Center for the Study of Southern Culture, I teach courses in twentieth-century U.S. history, southern history and southern studies, and modern U.S. religion, politics, and culture.
