Donn Hutchison

Donn Hutchison is an American-Palestinian. He is the author of a number of books of historical fiction based in Palestine, as well as the devotional “Polishing the Lamp of the Heart.” For almost half a century he taught school in the Palestinian city of Ramallah. It is into his novels that he weaves the stories told by his Palestinian students, neighbors, and his wife’s Palestinian family into a unique literary tapestry. In 2016 he was one of the recipients of the distinguished Palestinian International Award for Excellence and Creativity. He continues to make his home in Palestine living in the stone cottage his father-in-law built in 1936.
