Matt McCarthy

Matt McCarthy has been developing iOS apps since the launch of the App Store in 2008. He has released more than 20 apps as part of a two-person team, Tomato Interactive LLC. He works as a software engineer at LumiraDx, leading a small team of iOS engineers developing healthcare apps for doctors and patients.

Matt is the co-author of Coding iPhone Apps for Kids: A Playful Introduction to Swift (2017, No Starch Press). When he's not making apps, Matt enjoys playing video games, longboarding, and recording music with his band, The Kill Screens. Matt has two kids (twins!) and lives in Concord, MA.
