Topher Edwards, born and raised in Ontario, Canada, is the author of the ‘BPD Journals’ series – a collection of raw, unedited journal entries chronicling his struggles with mental illness. What began as a way to calm his chaotic mind became much more. Writing wasn’t just a pressure release valve, but provided a raw, unfiltered account of Topher’s struggles with mental illness, free of clinical terminology and cold objectivity.
In an ironic display of manic impulsivity, Topher decided to compile a year’s worth of journal entries and share it with the world through self-publishing. In his mind, something was telling him that it could help someone feel less alone, could demystify and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness, or it could do nothing at all. Seven years and four books later, Topher Edwards continues to work to raise mental health awareness, connect with his readers, and work on his personal mental health each day.
