Brendon Waymark

From an early age I was introduced to fantasy and sci-fi through classic movies like Predator, Alien and the Transformers cartoons. I spent most of my school years staring out the class window, imagining that the Autobots and Decepticons were fighting each other, in turn destroying the school. The arrival of computers and video games pulled me further from school, but instilled an even deeper love for imagination and stories.

My father handed me the Hobbit by Tolkien when I was ten. That was my first introduction to fantasy in book form. It was around then that I realised I could write my own adventures, with characters of my own. I loved the idea of pulling not only myself, but others with me into other worlds.

When I finished school, I studied Journalism and creative writing and completed and advanced certificate of professional writing in 2006. I’ve been writing on and off ever since. Longarus Karn, my first book, has since gone through a rigorous editing and complete overhaul process. I hope you, the reader, enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.
