Sonya began her ministry as a praise dancer with In His Presence Dance Ministry at Living Word Christian Center in Augusta, Georgia, in 1990.
Sonya is an alumna of the University of Georgia, and has been a parent advisor (PA) with the Georgia Parent Infant Network of Educational Services (GA PINES) for twenty-eight years providing early intervention services for parents who have infants with vision and hearing impairments.
