Gail Gilmore

Gail Gilmore is interested in the connection between humans and animals, and in exploring themes of guilt, forgiveness, and the keeping of secrets in human relationships. She volunteers for Missing Dogs Massachusetts, and her articles on the subject of missing dogs have appeared in The Dodo. Following a fun stint at Harvard University, where she helped undergraduates navigate the ever-changing pathways of careers in the arts, entertainment, and journalism, she left the city and moved to the mountains of New Hampshire. She lives with her spouse and rescue dog, and is the author of the non-fiction book "Solomon: One Dog's Improbable, Two-Year, Thousand-Mile Journey to Find Home" and the memoir "Dog Church," which was named a finalist for the 2017 Rainbow Awards’ Dirk Vanden Award for LGBT Biography/Memoir.
