Frank E. Dobson

Frank E. Dobson, Jr., has published two novels, a co-authored book for young people, and numerous other works. His novels are: Rendered Invisible (2010, Plain View Press) and The Race is Not Given (1999, SterlingHouse). Along with his daughter, Jasmin Dobson, he recently co-authored the book, A Leader with Courage: The Impact of Congresswoman Cardiss Collins (2023), about the trailblazing Black Congresswoman, Cardiss Collins. Dobson has also published poetry, short fiction, and scholarly work. Most recently, Dobson has published scholarly articles on film, on such figures as the actors, James Edwards and Woody Strode and on the work of director, Spike Lee.
