Gloria Nailor

Gloria Nailor was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Even as a child, she enjoyed helping others. When she was diagnosed with a non-cancerous brain tumor at 43 years old, she thought helping orphans in West Africa would keep her mind off dealing with the stress in her life. But she suffered a nervous breakdown and after her brain surgery had a very difficult recovery both physically and emotionally. She wrote a very personal and honest book about her hard time and how she found strength in hopes that others going though a hard time might also find strength. Proceeds from her book will help orphans.
