Michaela Riley Karr

My name is Michaela Riley Karr, and I grew up in Olathe, Kansas. My imagination has always run rampant ever since I was a small child, and I started coming up with stories and new worlds long before I could write them down. I was in seventh grade when I came up with the story that would eventually become my first novel, "The Allyen", which is the first of The Story of the First Archimage series. I love fiction that takes me and my readers to new worlds where anything can happen, and I seek to do that in each of my books. After I graduated from high school, I attended Emporia State University and received my Bachelor's in English Education. Now, I teach Composition I and II at ESU while pursuing my Master's in English. I live with my husband, Olin, in rural Emporia, Kansas with over a hundred goofy goats and 10 adorable barn cats.
