Emily Alter

Hi! My name is Emily Alter (she/he/they), and I’m a queer, kinky and polyamorous author of both gay and sapphic romance books. When I’m not writing or being a brat to someone who has consented to it, I do my bit of activism as a social psychologist and licensed sex therapist in Madrid, Spain.

My writing journey began when I was a child who couldn’t get enough of Xena: The Warrior Princess and decided to take matters into my own hands. Since then, I’ve become a voracious reader and a self-published author who can talk for hours about my craft, tropes, and the characters who drive all of the stories living rent free in my head.

I write in different sub-genres, and I’m always working on more than one series at a time, but a few things that always stay the same across all of my books and universes are themes of found/chosen family, sex positivity, mental health awareness, and a dash of social justice.
