Amy Breitmann

Amy Breitmann is a writer, speaker and ministry founder. Her name means

be•loved: dearly loved : dear to the heart.

A transplanted northern girl, Amy grew up in the Midwest but now calls Augusta,

Georgia home and shares life with her husband Troy, two almost grown children.

When she is not experimenting in the kitchen or embarrassing her two teens, Amy has been known to decorate and spray paint anything that stays still. She also pulls weeds in her backyard in her humble attempt to replicate her grandmother’s garden.

A diagnosis of ovarian cancer refocused Amy’s faith when she was in her twenties and her cancer journey eventually led to her becoming the Co-Founder of The Lydia Project, where God wove her story of cancer into a ministry. Hundreds of Lydia volunteers now serve thousands of women and their families each year, providing spiritual, emotional, and financial support

Amy has written for The High Calling, (In)Courage, Chicken Soup for the Soul, and in her local community as a guest columnist with The Columbia County News Times. She was also a Co-Visionary and Contributing Writer at Outside the City Gate online community.

Amy currently works as a public relations director for Vi Bella Jewelry. (www.vibellajewelry.com) This Christian job creation ministry is based in Northwest Iowa, with artisan centers in both Haiti and Mexico. The jewelry and accessories that are handmade by their artisans are marketed in the United States, providing a path out of poverty for their employees and families, impacting entire

communities. This is Amy’s first published book.
