‘‘Self-help’ authors often come from one or more of three backgrounds: they have been there themselves and found a way through it (demonstrator); they have qualifications or have done extensive research on the topic (discoverer); they have helped others through the issue they are writing on (deliverer).

Dr. Tim Higgs has quite an uncommon background of coming from all three areas.

Although he calls himself a Corporate Facilitator and Coach, Tim has a Doctorate in Psychology, a Masters in Narrative Psychology, a Degree in Business, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Individual and Relationship Psychotherapy. During his academic and professional life, he has extensively researched the area of constructive communications, human behavior, and change.

Tim has assisted thousands of people to conquer challenges in their personal and professional lives. From communication issues, relationship problems and conflict, to leadership and credibility issues. He has also helped people overcome motivational problems, crises of confidence, anxiety, depression and self-sabotage.

Tim has also experienced many of those challenges himself.

Seeking a solution to his own issues of depression, relationship issues and lack of results was part of the reason for his undertaking further study in the psychology arena. It led to a change in his career from a sales and marketing professional, to private clinical practice and working in a private hospital dealing with mood disorders and addictions, as a family therapist.

In the last twenty one years Tim has worked in corporate facilitation and coaching. He has been helping people across all areas of organizations deal with communication, leadership, credibility and EQ issues such as confidence and resilience issues leading to greater satisfaction and productivity in the workplace.

Tim lives on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia.
