Marja Perren was raised in a welcoming home filled with family, music and culture. As a child, she loved the magical world of storytelling, listening to her grandmother's tales and folklore of the old world. Intrigued by these stories, the written word became a passion and constant in life, writing poetry during her peewee years and journaling in her teens. She continued to put pen to paper at The University of California, enrolling in writing classes and now creates children's tales as an adult.
To Marja, Dasha Flash and her children's foundation are a reflection of her upbringing: an icon representing the influence creativity and kindness can have on the learning ability of children and the development of their values.
Marja shares time between her hometown of Toronto, Canada and Southern California where it's a little bit warmer in the wintertime to enjoy sun-filled activities with great friends and family!
