Prof. Dr. min. Sandra Bils (GFU) is a theologian and is working as an organizational developer in the strategic-innovative field for many years. She supports transformation processes throughout Germany and Europe, especially in the sector of churches and NGOs.
In addition to her practical experience, Sandra Bils also provides theoretical approaches. As part of her honorary professorship with a chair for church development at the YMCA University for Applied Sciences in Kassel, Sandra Bils deals with questions of organizational development in science, teaching and research. Her particular areas of focus include innovation, exnovation and ambidextry.
Sandra Bils studied Theology and Industrial Science in Bielefeld, Berlin, Portland/USA and Hanover. In her dissertation, Bils dealt with the relevance of contextualization in the field of Fresh Expressions of Church and completed her doctoral studies with the degree "Doctor of ministry" and the "Distinguished Dissertation Award 2015" from George Fox University, Portland.
Bils is co-editor of the series "Interdiziplinäre Studien zur Transformation" (Interdisciplinary Studies in Transformation). She is a member of the presidential steering comittee of the Deutscher Evangelischer Kirchentag and a founding member and board member of United4Rescue - Gemeinsam Retten.
In 2020, she was among the 50 women nominated for the Edition F Award.
