Walt Mayes

Walt Mayes, was born in North Carolina, and lived there until he graduated from high school and entered college. After college he served in the US Army, teaching Radar, and Intercontenal Ballistic Missiles at Redstone, Arsenal, Huntsville, Al.

In high school he wrote a sequel to a book they studied in English Literature, and the Teacher put on his paper, 'When you write your first novel, send me an autograph copy.' The first novel, 'Hadden', was written after his service in the U.S. Army.

He currently lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA.
