Andrew Millar

Andrew has had a wide variety of careers, having worked in such areas as retail, library services, several call centres as well as serving fourteen years with the Railway, first as a signalman and then as a supervisor and manager. His later vocation was as a Minister of Religion for many years with The Salvation Army.

This allowed him to experience life as a prison chaplain, hospital chaplain as well as the opportunity to undertake various public-speaking events, not to mention his weekly preaching and pastoral duties.

Andrew has lived extensively within Scotland and England. Although he was born in Shettleston in Glasgow, he would acknowledge that he grew up a little from everywhere he lived -- from London in the South to Wick in Caithness in the far North.

He currently lives in the countryside in Perthshire just a few miles outside Blairgowrie with his wife, Franky.

Having had to retired from his work with The Salvation Army for health reasons for a number of years.

Andrew is now semi-retired happily writing stories, poems and non-fiction -- for which he draws from his vast experience of life throughout the years; as well as enjoying the country life.

However, he is always ready to lead worship or speak at events if approached.
