Michael L. Slaughter

Born in 1994 and raised in Connecticut, Michael Slaughter is a recent graduate of Sacred Heart University (class of 2016) with a double major in accounting and finance. Graduating with a cumulative 3.96 GPA, he received numerous scholarships and prestigious accolades from both his University and nationally. He was a starting player on the Division 1 Men’s Lacrosse Team and had numerous other involvements on campus.

In his junior year of college, Michael published his first book entitled “From Failure to Triumph: Inspiring Stories to Help You Overcome Challenges and Achieve Success” in the motivational/inspirational category. Holding numerous book signings and available in both print and e-book, he has heard welcoming feedback from all it has inspired and his book reached the #1 best-selling spot in his category for the Amazon Kindle.

Michael founded his own online collectible card business at 10 years old and proceeded to grow it to become one of the top sellers in the world in his industry. With a prominent online brand and an average annual growth rate of 84% over the 12 years he ran it, Michael sold his business after he graduated from college to pursue a career in the financial markets. The experiences and knowledge he acquired over these 12 years were invaluable and developed within him, due to the vast similarities, his strong passion for the markets.

He currently works in the investment management industry looking to establish a prominent career. Michael resides in New York City, and in his free time, he enjoys exercising, surfing, fishing, and reading.
