Vickie McEntire

Vickie McEntire is a 2018 Georgia Author of the Year Award winner for her second children's book, Little Bird and Myrtle Turtle. She was born and raised in a small town in Northwest Georgia. After her three children were grown, she decided to fill her time with writing. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Georgia Writers Association and Calhoun Area Writers. Her work has been published in Telling Stories: a Calhoun Area Writers Anthology, Lady Literary Magazine, and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Teachers. She has written several articles for Calhoun Magazine. Her first children’s book, Baby Birds, follows the life cycle of birds, and she has a book of poetry, Empty Nest, in which she shares her deepest life moments.
