Michael Clay Carey

Michael Clay Carey is an author, journalist, and journalism professor. He was born and raised in Hartsville, Tennessee, and worked for a decade as a newspaper reporter and editor in the Volunteer State. He received his Ph.D. in mass communication from Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication and is currently a member of the journalism faculty at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
