Euan McIver

Euan is an accomplished actor and director whose career has embraced many facets. Born and raised in Edinburgh his first appearance on the professional stage was at The Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh in 1979. Spotted by a t.v producer he went on to appear in BBC Scotland's youth series Asking Around before attending the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama ( now the Conservatoire) graduating in 1983 with one of the first ever Degrees in Drama awarded jointly by RSAMD and Glasgow University.

Euan's first novel "The Ochil Eye" was written over a period of almost thirty years between acting commitments in the UK, Europe and the USA. Readers were so intrigued as to "what happened next" Euan decided to use recuperation time after a major operation to write "The Grimoire". Euan drew inspiration from some of the weird hallucinations he experienced from being on morphine post op and wove them into another exciting novel.

Readers will recognise many Scottish Borders landmarks along the way. Is this the end of the journey for "The Ochil Eye" ? " Blood on the Borders" is a grim realistic story set at the time of the wars of Scottish Independence in 1295 following the fortunes of the Kerr family while "The Shot at Bannockburn" is a novella that rose from the 2026 finding of the musket shell lodged in the bed Bonnie Prince Charlie slept in.
