George Grimm

My father took me to my first Ranger game in the old Madison Square Garden when I was about 10 years old. I immediately fell in love with the game and began reading everything I could get my hands on about the sport of hockey and the New York Rangers.

A native of Jersey City, NJ. I worked my way through Saint Peters College as a computer operator in their data processing department, working days and attending classes at night. I graduated with a Business degree in 1976 and went on to have a long career as a programmer, IT Auditor and Technical Writer.

I started writing about the Rangers in 1988 when I published SportStat.. The Ranger Report (1988-1993) I then wrote the Blue Seat Point of View column for the Blueshirt Bulletin for many years. I currently write the Retro Rangers column for insidehockey.com. My work has also been published in the Rangers Game Night program and 201 (NJ) Magazine.

We Did Everything But Win is my first book. My next book, Guardians of the Goal, the History of New York Rangers Goaltending, will be released in the fall of 2019.
