Michael T. Gregory

Michael T. Gregory is an Army brat that grew up on the move. With roots in upstate New York, he grew up predominately in Stafford, VA. Four years of college at the SUNY Cortland and three seasons of rugby, Mike was ready for the world.

After taking a year off, he enlisted in the Army. With a degree in History, the Army was stupid enough to think they could do something with him, so they made him an Army Aviator.

On the serious side, the Army provided Mike with 22 years of love, life, a wonderful wife and beautiful family, and an Army "family". The Army provided too many stories to capture completely, except for one. "Desert Skies".

"Desert Skies" is a fictionalized account of Mike Gregory's command in the Gulf War. As an Apache Attack Helicopter Company Commander. He was fortunate enough to lead a collection of renegade warriors and scoundrels into Saddam's fire. The account of that War and the adventures of the Ghostriders is fictionalized, the tale never strays far from reality road.

Finding an outlet in writing while his military travels took him from his home in San Antonio, Mike continued to write. His second novel, "HOOPMAN" delves into his love of basketball. After 15 years of flying, the Army provided him with a new background in Information Operations. It was this world that inspired the sub-plot for HOOPMAN as he takes on the seedy underworld of online gambling.

"Desert Skies II" was born from the second Iraq War and set in Texas, the Gregory's adopted home. It picks up the adventures of (now) LTC Tom Lawton as he takes a Battalion of Texas Aviator warriors back to the desert.

Mike's latest adventure was written under the pen name, Tom E. Quinn (His fathers' uncle!). "Major Gigolo" is a tale that is the epitome of 'those who can't do, write...'. Once you read it, you'll understand why the pen name.

Stand by for more adventures when Mike really decides to retire. We haven't even touched on the rugby stories...yet.

Mike resides in the scenic metropolis of Boerne, Texas, surrounded by his wonderful family, five cats, two dogs and a driveway full of Honda's.
