I have had a lifetime interest in Tudor and Stuart history. I have published two historical novels. Mayflowers for November tells the story of Anne Boleyn's demise from the viewpoint of a servant girl in Greenwich Palace. Mr Pepys and the Primrose Hill Mystery is based around the three hundred years old suspicious death of Sir Edmund Bury Godfrey. The diarist Samuel Pepys was accused of organising this murder. The novel explores extant evidence to solve the mystery. I am currently writing Ode to Gina, a family mystery novel set in Coventry in the 1960s and also looking back to the 19th century. Grandmother, Alice, had a twin sister, Gina, who disappeared aged 10 and was never heard of again. Whatever happened to her?

I grew up in Coventry, was a student in Leeds and I live in North Yorkshire where I am a volunteer in a historic house: The Folly, in Settle.
