As author or reader, I don’t care about genres. I care about characters, stories and ideas. Those elements cut across all genres and take me with them.

“Satisfaction In Times of Anger” explores the attractions and dangers of taking revenge. “Blindsided" asks how far a character will go in order to be the hero of their own story. “Loving Country” tracks the fuzzy borderline between caring for someone and wanting to control them. “The Promised Planet” traces possible outcomes when the persecuted assume power. In genre terms, you could call them, respectively, a Crime story, a Thriller, a Romance and Science Fiction but, for me, that doesn’t tell you what they are essentially about.

I want you engaged by the story, caring about the characters and thinking about the issues raised. It's the truths of fiction that motivate me to keep writing. What happens just beyond what we know? I mean, out there where you can imagine yourself being …
