Tim Riley

Tim Riley was born and raised in a small farming community in central California. His father’s sporting goods store was the local gathering place for young and old and all things outdoors: hunting, fishing, golf, tennis, etc. His mother managed a ladies clothing boutique and his sister, Jeannine, went on to have a very successful career in movies and television, including the first “Billie Jo” on Petticoat Junction in the early 60’s.

Tim published his first book, a self-help guide titled, “I’m Lettin’ Go… But I Ain’t Giving Up” in 1998. His latest offering, They Call Him Skinner, is a young adult novel set in the wild west mining town of Butte, Montana in 1920. It’s the first of a three-part saga based on his father’s early years. He and his best friend Penny, who he first met at age five, have been married for 51 years and currently reside near Sacramento, California.
