Silvia Lara

Silvia Lara is a woman formed by resilience, faith and an unwavering commitment to the process of becoming.

Her path has never been a straight line. She has gone through separation, loss, responsibilities at an early age, deep physical trials and that kind of silence that forces a person to choose: break... or take root deep enough to survive.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Silvia lived one of her first decisive moments at the age of ten, when her parents emigrated to the United States in search of a better future for her family.

As the youngest of seven siblings and unable to contribute financially, she was left with her uncle and his wife. What followed were years marked by loneliness, unanswered questions and an early encounter with independence.
