I have always enjoyed writing, and now, at last, with the luxury of my own books, I have the chance to share my ramblings with a wider audience!

I also have many people to thank. My long-suffering wife Chrissie, obviously. Firstly, for not laughing too much, when I announced I was intending to publish a book, although secretly I suspect she had a private snigger, before deciding she thought it was a great idea! And secondly, for not complaining too loudly, when I largely ignored her after supper on the patio, when my creative juices are often flowing freely, after a couple of glasses of wine!

To our beautiful girls, for not minding too much that we were thinking of relocating to the Continent. Perhaps they were pleased to see the back of us!

To the wonderful people of Andalucía, who have made us so welcome, included us in their lives, and provided us with so many happy memories. And an awful lot of material!

And finally, to you, dear reader. If I have made you smile, that is all I ask.
