Mike lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with his wife Kayla, daughters Emerson and Charlotte, and GoldenDoodle Elle. He works in a local school district in Lancaster County as an Elementary School Counselor in a Primary School with students grades K-3. He is a member of the district and county-wide flight team that responds to incidents involving death and traumatic events. Mike also teaches at the collegiate level, serving as an adjunct professor in psychology at Lancaster Bible College and adjunct professor in the graduate department of counseling at Lebanon Valley College.
Mike holds degrees from Bloomsburg University (BA in Psychology), Lehigh University (Masters in Elementary School Counseling), University of Alabama (Masters in Educational Psychology) and Penn State University (Ed. Leadership/Principal Certification) In 2015, Mike was recognized as the Pennsylvania Elementary School Counselor of the Year. Mike grew up near the Pocono Mountains in the town of Lehighton, PA.
