Nathan Cool is a professional photographer, meteorologist, and author who specializes in the intersection of technical precision and visual storytelling. As an expert in architectural and real estate photography, Nathan is widely known for his lighting techniques and best-selling book series that simplifies complex industry standards for photographers worldwide.

Parallel to his work behind the lens, Nathan is a veteran surf and weather forecaster with over 30 years of experience. He served as the Forecast Meteorologist for Surfer and Surfing magazines and has authored definitive works on surf forecasting and climate science.

Based in Southern California, Nathan continues to educate through his photography school, his WaveCast forecasting service, and his ongoing book projects. When not capturing photos or tracking swells, he is usually hiking the Santa Monica Mountains with a camera at the ready.
