Guy Noble was born in Margate, Kent, UK and attended Byam Shaw School of Art (Central St Martin's School of Art). He spent several years studying and working in Spain and New York and a prolonged period living and working in Italy. Although his primary influences have been artists who have worked directly from life, Manet, Matisse, Giacometti and Soutine, each period has had different artists who have influenced him. Noble’s first solo exhibition was held at the Jablonski Gallery London in 1986 and has since regularly exhibited internationally. Since 2007 Noble has been a part-time tutor at Central St Martin's School of Art.
