Sammi Rae

Sammi Rae is a Wisconsin native, having been raised on a small farm outside of Oshkosh. Coming from a family of six siblings, she knows the value of a good days work and how people are the importance at the end of the day.

In 2006, Sammi Rae’s Homemade was started near Fond du Lac, and in 2009, her business moved to Egg Harbor in Door County, Wisconsin which has remained her home. She quickly became known as “the Pickle Lady” or “Jam Lady” and has become a household favorite throughout the Midwest and across the country. If you have had the pleasure of visiting her store, you know she enjoyed every moment, joke, and prayer shared with you while you sampled away at her kitchen creations. Her creative passions are now stepping out from behind the kitchen door and onto paper in this first inspiration of poetry and photography. Her hope is to continue to bring you warmth and nourishment now hand held while still homemade.
