Usha Chudasama

Usha Chudasama has held a lifelong fascination for helping young people to succeed. She was born in Kenya, Africa. She came to London in the 1970s. She has twelve years’ experience as a primary school teacher and six years’ experience as a Behaviour Consultant, working with school staff, parents and children. Usha lives in East London with her husband and daughter.

She was awarded the status of Chartered London Teacher, which recognises and rewards commitment to play as a key role in transforming education, by challenging educational under-achievement and disadvantage.

Her area of specialism is wellbeing and therapeutic work, specifically with children who have social, emotional and mental health challenges. She supports parents and trains professionals in this field. She is a school psychotherapist, a freelance trainer and works with children, adolescents and individuals in her private clinic in London, UK. She is accredited by United Kingdom for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and registered with British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). She is a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner and trainer. She believes in community work and volunteers her time as a spiritual healer.

Usha has set up an organisation called Healing Feeling, which offers workshops and bespoke packages for:

- parents to build a better relationship with their child;

- children to become more confident, calm and happy;

- personal development for individuals to let go of ‘the elephant in the room’ and write a new chapter in their lives for a better future; and

- childcare professionals and educators to teach behaviour management; positive mental health and wellbeing.

Usha’s workshops and book have been featured in: The Times Newspaper; Sky TV; Coutts Women’s online magazine; Ilford Recorder; Wanstead & Woodford Guardian; and she has been interviewed on News Talk radio and East London radio.

"Your Happy Child" is Usha's first book and puts her 20+ years of experience into a neat and easily digestible package for parents to be able to work through the exercises at home with their child.

In Usha's free time you will find her at a yoga class, out for a walk in nature, or enjoying downtime with her pet cat, Minnie.
