Matt Horton

Matt Horton is a published American author known for his diverse writing styles, encompassing action/adventure, thriller, and drama genres. Originally from Central California, he now resides in Washington State with his wife and dogs, where he works as a Licensed Dispensing Optician and optical store manager.

In his youth, Matt was involved in acting and drama during high school. After a foray into screenwriting, he wrote his first book at the age of twenty-one while studying Theology at a Christian college. His passion for writing, kindled during this period, has endured over the years.

An avid reader of dystopian novels and thrillers, Matt draws inspiration from authors such as James Dashner, Marie Lu, and Ted Dekker. Beyond writing, he enjoys running, hiking, reading the Bible, and outdoor activities.
