Mr Tyler discovered the piano at the age of eight, having no real direction until he heard

Jerry Lee Lewis a few years later, and then from there finding his home within the music of the blues and boogie-woogie.

Rumour has it... that having no internet in them days to learn from, he travelled back in time to the 1930's to learn the blues from the original masters.

Rumour also has it, that after a time, one late and fateful night he signed a deal with the devil at the crossroads.

'I want to be the best' he said.

'Sign here' said the devil 'but read the small print, sign... and you will be stuck here for eternity' cue a little thunder and lightning for effect.

Some say, that he's still living back in the 1930's, destined to never return.

Some say, that he's back in our time, and can be spotted playing the blues on pianos around the country.

All I know is... he's written some books to save you from the same fate. What a decent chap.
