David Moore

David Moore has been coaching for over 30 years - Primarily, football, baseball, and softball. Currently he is the head softball coach at Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix, Arizona.

Realizing that, though the games remain the same, coaching them is constantly changing. In hopes of providing some motivation and focus, Coach Moore writes stories or poems for his student athletes. The story or poem written for each season becomes a central factor for the entire season.

As mentors to younger people, Coach Moore feels that coaches today need to offer various strategies to teach what playing these sports really means. Writing has given him the opportunity to pass along life skills that will hopefully stay with his student athletes the rest of their lives.
