Derek C Evans

Derek Evans is a young entrepreneur, educator, and author from Reading, Pennsylvania. Although his early interests centered on sports, music, and business, his life took a transformative turn in October 2016 when he collapsed at work due to dysautonomia. The experience reshaped his outlook and sparked a calling to share his story. In March 2017, he published his first book, So Close to Death Yet So Far Away, detailing his journey and resilience.

Beyond his writing, Derek has become a dedicated dysautonomia advocate, using his platform to raise awareness and support others facing similar challenges. He is also an active keynote speaker, where his message centers on overcoming adversity, pursuing personal growth, and building purpose-driven lives.

Derek is deeply involved in his community, committed to service, empowerment, and mentorship. As an entrepreneur, educator, and coach, he works to positively influence others through leadership, creativity, and personal development.
