Tim Peeler

Tim Peeler began his writing career as a student at North Carolina State University in 1984 and hasn't stopped yet. He spent 20 years working for newspapers before returning to NC State to work for both the athletics department and the university communications office.

He's written about every subject under the sun, from the world tug-of-war championships to the Olympics, but his passion has always been covering Atlantic Coast Conference basketball. His three books about NC State basketball have received critical acclaim, from both readers and the subjects that he has covered. To be honest, he likes the latter best.

For the last 10 years, Peeler has served as the unofficial historian of NC State athletics. He's been the go-to source for anything about the Wolfpack for the New York Times and many other newspapers and organizations.

Much of that historical knowledge has worked its way into his three books: The Legends of NC State Basketball, When March Went Mad and NC State Basketball: 100 Years of Innovation.
