This world, and everyone on it, are only an infinitesimally small fraction of a vast universe that we can see but not touch. I write because it's the only way I know how to explore what's out there. I don't create worlds, I discover them. The people and other life forms who fill this universe are more fascinating, hilarious, and heartbreaking than I could have ever imagined.
My wife is telling me that I'm supposed to write about myself... I'm a mailman. Now she's telling me that what I do doesn't define who I am. She's my primary editor by the way. She's great, really keeps me from settling for half-hearted prose. So if you like books about technology, space travel, and aliens that are completely real (for extremely low values of real, so low in fact that, for legal purposes it's classified as fiction) then take a look, it's in a book, a reading rain... my wife is shaking her head.
