Callan Goodall

Born and raised in the deep south of New Zealand I have held a lifelong passion for writing. Working as a school principal by day and author by candlelight I have written both children’s picture books and novels. ‘Set Me Free’ was my first published work, though this has been followed up by a commercially published picture book, Midmost Marvin and most recently a novel set in my part of the world Pockets of Gold.

I am a father of five children and have been happily married to my wife Rachel for 25 plus years. Other than writing I like the outdoors, sports such as rugby (it's a religion in NZ), cricket and golf and when time permits I like to dabble to landscape painting.

My long term goal is so to be a full time author, though in no rush at present. I am really enjoying the freedom of the Indie publishing world, though still plenty to learn. Be great to have you following me :)
