Dan Tucker is a an independent writer, editor, and historian who has authored books on Alexander Hamilton, Abraham Lincoln, and the global women’s movement (with Jane Gerhard). Dan’s expertise is in making complicated or difficult subjects accessible to popular audiences and in bringing focus to the sometimes surprising dialogue between past, present, and future. An ardent advocate of humor and foe of jargon, Dan also authored a humorous de-mystifier about socialism—neither pro- nor anti—just enough to sound smart before you leave the room to do something else.
