Mark is the Founder of AmpVal, and known online as The Sensible Project Manager. Mark shares his knowledge and experiences about project management through his blogs at SensiblePM.com. He is also the host of The Sensible Project Manager Podcast.
Mark has been a Project Manager for 17+ years, leading teams using both Traditional and Agile project management methodologies. Much of his project management career has been in the IT arena, with a wide variety of projects including software development, system integration, hardware deployments, and IT construction. As Director of Project Management, he introduced Agile p roject management to two separate companies.
Beginning his career at The Boeing Company, he discovered his leadership capabilities, which led to his project management career at a variety of companies, including Getronics, Ambassadors, Nike, Avista, and Regency Blue Shield. He is currently the Director of Project Management and IT at Tedder Industries.
Mark is a member of PMI and has served as the Vice-President of Programs at the Inland Northwest PMI Chapter in Spokane, Washington. Mark has presented at the PMI Global Congress, and enjoys speaking at his local chapter and other organizations on a wide range of project management topics.
Mark is certified by PMI as a Project Management Professional (PMP®). He also holds the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) designation from the Scrum Alliance. Mark graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Design Engineering Technology.
