Josh Birnbaum

Josh Birnbaum is a photographer, educator, and author based in southeast Ohio. Josh 's creative work utilizes immersive documentary photography and other media to tell human stories. He builds deep, meaningful relationships with individuals and works over long periods of time to examine the change in people s lives. His work has focused on such topics as ability/disability, music culture, Appalachia, and the environment.

He teaches with Ohio University 's School of Visual Communication. He takes pride in helping others tell stories through photography and express themselves through art.
