David Liddle

David is a recognized authority in the fields of people & culture, leadership and conflict management. Named as number one HR Most Influential Thought Leader in 2025, David was also selected for the prestigious Thinkers50 Radar in 2022, underscoring his role as a transformational force in HR and leadership.

A prolific writer and keynote speaker, David has published two highly acclaimed books. His first, 'Managing Conflict' (2017/2023), redefined dispute resolution and is widely cited in both academic and professional circles. In it, David launched his Resolution Framework™ - a modern alternative to traditional grievance and disciplinary systems - which has been adopted by major organizations across the UK, the US and globally.

His second book, 'Transformational Culture' (2021), was praised by thought leaders, including Dave Ulrich, as “remarkable”. David’s upcoming books, 'How to Disagree Well' and 'People and Culture – A Practical Guide for HR and Leaders', are anticipated to further solidify his impact on HR and leadership.

David’s expertise has earned him and TCM multiple awards, including HR Consultancy of the Year, HR Impact Award for transforming Burberry’s HR framework, the National Change Management Award for his work at TSB Bank, and Mediation Consultancy of the Year.

David’s career began with a degree in race and community relations in 1992, after which he led pioneering inclusion and regeneration projects, witnessing the damage unresolved conflict can inflict on communities. This experience inspired him to create one of the UK’s first community mediation and restorative justice programs.

In 2001, after earning his MBA with Distinction, David founded The TCM Group - a respected boutique consultancy boasting an expanding international client base. Comprising 10 brands, TCM is dedicated to developing fair, just, inclusive, sustainable and high-performance cultures.
