Katie Brown

Katie Brown has been a dedicated nonprofit professional and cancer patient advocate since 2003, transitioning from a corporate career after her father’s small cell lung cancer diagnosis.

She is trained and held certifications as an Oncology Patient Navigator and has authored the books, "CoSurviving Cancer" and "Navigating Advocacy."

Katie co-created Lung Cancer Support Community, the first social network for lung cancer patients and families, and founded the 1st lc walk in Texas.

She has served in various advocacy roles, including the community engagement chair for N. Texas Navigators and as a delegate and leader with the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

She has been a cancer survivor since June 1995 and a survivor of genetic stage 4 liver disease since 2015.
